WORLD AEROBATICS CUP - 7th-8th June 2008, Roudnice n/L, the Czech Republic

On Sunday June 8, a unique international air show, which is absolutely unparalleled in the history of aerobatic flying in the Czech Republic, will take place in the city of Roudnice nad Labem.

This competition of the 16 best aerobatic pilots in the world is the very highlight of aerobatics. Air speeds over 320 km/h and accelerations exceeding 10 Gs require absolutely precise piloting, excellent estimates, and most importantly – total concentration.

Only one mistake or just one moment of hesitation may become fatal. The pilots follow the rules of the highest category of aerobatics – UNLIMITED. The spectators may watch their unbelievable aerobatic figures on large-area screens. Flight results are evaluated online.

Anybody can enjoy attractive views from the airplane cockpits and online data on air speed and acceleration. During the accompanying program of the competition, you will enjoy the Czech Jet Team with its L-39 Albatros jets, L-29 Dolphins, Jak-11s, the Flying Bulls Aerobatics Team with its Zlin-50 LX airplanes, the Czech Republic Parachute representative team, the BEMO BOX air group and selected models of historic airplanes from the Foundation Fund of Metod?j Vlach. These models are completely functional and some of them reach 80-100 % of original airplane’s sizes and fly at air speeds of up to 100 km/h.
In addition to “tons” of adrenalin, the program will include numerous attractions for children and adults alike. There will be a few aerotrims, gigantic inflatable arenas, slides, and trampolines. There will also be children’s and dog’s corners. You will meet various VIPs of aviation and show business, compete for fantastic prizes, and enjoy a great summer afternoon with your family and friends …
